Every SeaPay statement, certificate and payslip carries a signed QR code. Scan it with your phone’s camera and SeaPay’s verifier checks the signature against SeaPay’s public key — in your browser, with nothing about the document uploaded.
Scan the QR code
Point your phone’s camera at the QR code on the document. It opens SeaPay’s verifier at seapay.me with the document’s signed summary.
The check runs in your browser on seapay.me — nothing about the document is uploaded. Open the verifier
Every document the apps sign.
Each carries a QR code with its signed summary. The check confirms what that summary states — and says plainly what it does not cover.
Issuer, account holder, bank, period, transaction count, totals and closing balance.
Every bank of the company, with money moved between its own banks left out of the totals.
Taxable person, period, and output, input and net VAT per country.
The holder’s registered identity and each account’s number, IBAN and BIC.
The payment, its amount, its beneficiary and its status.
Employer, employee, pay period, gross pay, net pay and employer cost.
The payroll company, pay period, number of employees and total due.
Jurisdiction, output and input VAT, reclaimable VAT and undocumented transactions.
The app seals a summary of the document with SeaPay’s Ed25519 signature the moment it is created.
The QR code carries that summary and its signature — scanning it opens SeaPay’s verifier.
The verifier checks the signature against SeaPay’s public key and the signed revocation list. Nothing leaves your device.
The revocation list is signed with the same key. A company key SeaPay withdraws fails every document it signed — shown here as “Key revoked”.
