For yacht accountants
The statements, receipts and categories you need, ready to work from: read-only, with signed statements you can check yourself.
Read-only access to a yacht company's banking
SeaPay Controller opens one or more companies' banking views for people signed in to SeaPay with the right role. Each bank of a company is shown separately, with balances in their own currencies. It is a view of the books, not a way into the bank: payments are made by the operator in Paymaster or Workstation.
The view travels encrypted and is stored encrypted on seapay.network, with the keys kept apart from the website, and is decrypted on your computer. It opens only for people with the right role, and every opening is recorded. Controller runs on a Mac (macOS 11 or later) or a Windows 10 or 11 computer.
Signed bank and VAT statements you can verify
Statements carry a digital signature and a code on every line, so an accountant, an auditor or a buyer can check them without calling anyone. Scan the code or open the verifier: the check runs in the browser and nothing is uploaded. Each statement line carries a QR code that opens its invoice or receipt.
Bank rows are kept exactly as the bank sent them and never edited; notes and categories sit beside them. Invoices and receipts are read automatically and attached only on an exact match. A company statement covers every bank of the company, with money moved between its own banks left out of the totals.
Categories, receipts and the tax pack
In Paymaster the operator matches every entry to its paper and files it under a category your accountant recognises. Receipts crew send with SeaPay ReceiptKeeper arrive read and matched to the card payment they belong to.
The accountant's role reads the books and receives the tax pack. A tax pack's signed summary states the jurisdiction, output and input VAT, reclaimable VAT and undocumented transactions. A VAT statement shows the taxable person, the period, and output, input and net VAT per country. SeaPay® Reporting, included with every account, includes financial and accounting export. This is general information, not tax advice.
- You: SeaPay Controller, read-only
- The operator: SeaPay Paymaster, live accounts and signed statements
- The management company: SeaPay Workstation, every vessel and company
- The crew: SeaPay ReceiptKeeper, receipts from on board
